"The
Webb Sisters"
Charley
and Hattie are The Webb Sisters. They signed their recording deal in
2005 and this talented duo are just putting the finishing touches to
their debut album which will be released by Mercury Records later this
year. The girls have been on a journey that has seen them travel from
their native
Kent to LA where
they spent 2 years, recording and playing live before returning to
England to
finish creating a collection of songs that are unique and enchanting.
Ably assisted by the legendary producers Steve Lipson (Annie Lennox,
Will Young) and Youth (Embrace, Kubb, The Verve) The Webb Sisters have
now realised their ambitions of releasing an album that determines
their unique musical style.

The Webb Sisters have a strong musical
identity with Hattie a classically trained harpist and Charley a music
scholar whose chosen instrument is the guitar. The sisters each have
their own distinctive look and voice which compliment each other
through a bond that only siblings can have. Together they create a
sound that is a refreshing and yet timeless blend of rock and folk
that is influenced by their love of other artists such as Joni
Mitchell, Neil Young, Indigo Girls, Radiohead and The Cranberries.
Their fist
single ‘I Still Hear It’
will be released in the
UK in June. The
album ‘Daylight Crossing’
is littered with amazing pop songs that fit the AC format that have
been compared to a cross between Fleetwood Mac, Suzanne Vega and Joni
Mitchell, we genuinely believe there is a huge gap in the world market
for an act like the Webb Sisters.
